My aunt and one of my cousins came down from NY about two weeks ago. They stayed with us for a few days, and while they were here we went to the Rainbow river club with the Mitchells. We decided to go kayaking and canoeing on the river. Very bad idea!!!! Yeah, I love kayaking, but canoeing is dreadful. Hannah and I stood patiently by while everyone else grabbed the kayaks and left us the canoe. Later we decided we should have fought for the kayaks, but it was a little to late. I figured 'how hard can it be?'.... I mean, I've paddled a canoe before and it didn't seem that bad. Well, whatever we did wrong, (or maybe there was something wrong with the canoe!) we ended up going in circles. The thing wouldn't go straight or turn to the right. We got some advice shouted to us by the adults on the dock, but it was not helpful..... needless to say that canoe trip did not last long. We finally decided after a short time to head back. I still love kayaking but I don't think I'll be canoeing for a little while. LOL. Here are some pictures from our short trip. There a bit grainy but I hope you enjoy them. :)
